Our Founder
Momma’s Money Tree was created by D’Loreyn Walker, MD out of a desire to help others learn from her financial mistakes and accelerate their own financial and business success. However, Dr. Walker’s earliest thoughts of creating an educational archive were prompted by the desire to teach her children Bible-based principles of debt-free entrepreneurship and personal finance.
Dr. Walker had first become aware of her need for business and financial education in 2012, when she began the process of establishing the first of her two private practices. (The practices were built and operated sequentially – not at the same time.) Her experiences clearly revealed the advantages that are conferred by an early introduction to financial literacy and business building. From that time forward, Dr. Walker resolved that her children wouldn’t pass into adulthood without being taught sound business and monetary practices.
In early 2020, Dr. Walker closed her second practice to attend to pressing needs at home. At the same time, she began an in-depth study of the Proverbs 31 businesswoman as an example of financial stewardship and entrepreneurship. Since 2012, she had allowed principles of Bible-based business and personal finance to inform her entrepreneurial journey. However, it wasn’t until the fall of 2020 that Dr. Walker came to the startling realization that God had answered her prayers for a better understanding of business and money. Not only had God shown her a biblical approach to money management and entrepreneurship, He had also used that knowledge to protect the financial stability of her family during the challenges of the global pandemic.
These realizations eventually convicted Dr. Walker that her studies had to be shared with the rest of the world. Her goal has always been to support other mothers in collaborating with God to increase the financial stability of their families, while also furthering the financial and entrepreneurial education of their children. The Proverbs 31 Millionaire materials, on and offline resources, and consulting services that you find offered through Momma’s Money Tree are all part of this effort to share the good news of Godly entrepreneurship and financial freedom.

The members of Momma’s Money Tree seek first to honor our individual relationships with God. Next, we seek to love and respect our fellow human beings as children of the Heavenly Father, in whose image they are created. Although we fall short of these standards at times, we remain committed to press toward the mark – and encourage others to do so as well.
